Common foot complaints

There are many different types of complaints some are directly to the feet but often poor foot position also presages problems throughout your body. Your feet are not the foundation of your body for nothing.

Some examples of complaints:

Foot complaints/pain

Toe complaints/pain

  • Nerve pain, numbness or tingling sensations in the toes
  • Misalignment of the big toe joint, hump on the inside of the foot (Hallux Valgus)
  • Tingling or tingling between the third and fourth toe (Morton's Neuralgia)
  • Osteoarthritis in the big toe
  • Ingrown toenail
  • Inflamed toenail
  • Fungal nail (also called chalk nail)
  • Toes lying on top of each other
  • Corn
  • Callus formation
  • Distortion of the nails, for example, thickening or crookedness
  • Hammer toes and claw toes

Ankle complaints/pain

  • Thickened ankles
  • Wear and tear in the ankle (osteoarthritis in the ankle)
  • Deafness, radiation from the ankle (Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome)
  • Tilting too much inward while running (Overpronation)
  • Tilting too much outward while running (Oversupination / Underpronation)

Lower leg complaints/pain

  • Stabbing pain in the shins (Shin splints or tibial membrane inflammation)
  • Pain both lower legs on exertion (Compartment syndrome or Lodge syndrome)
  • Tired legs
  • Growing pains in children
  • Nerve pain in the legs
  • Moisture in the legs
  • Restless legs

Hip complaints/pain
