Do you make insoles for children?

Yes. We make podiatric children’s insoles by hand, taking into account the child’s growth and development and any complaints or sports activities. Children’s insoles cost € 220 including consultation and follow-up.

Can the insoles be used in work shoes, boots or clogs?

Yes. We make certified work insoles (€ 250 including consultation and follow-up) as well as insoles for rubber boots and even clogs. Our insoles are adapted as much as possible to the shoes you like to wear.

What is the difference between a podologist and a podotherapist?

Both treat foot complaints and make insoles. The registered podologist specialises in foot problems and posture; the podotherapist also treats nail problems and wounds. Read more about the difference between a podologist and a podotherapist.

How are handmade insoles made?

After an examination and an imprint or scan of your foot, we build the insole by hand from thin cork elements so it stays as thin as possible. The insole is adapted to your shoes and complaints and then fitted and checked. Read more in what is podiatry?

Which complaints can insoles help with?

Insoles help with complaints caused by poor alignment or loading of the feet: heel spur, Achilles tendon complaints, flat feet, high arches, splay foot, forefoot pain, Morton’s neuroma, hallux valgus, calluses and corns, as well as shin splints and knee, hip and lower back complaints. See the overview of foot complaints.

Do insoles help with heel spur (plantar fasciitis)?

Yes, it is one of the complaints we most often make insoles for. The insole supports the arch, unloads the plantar fascia and cushions the heel. Read more about plantar fasciitis.

Can I see a podiatrist for knee, hip or back complaints?

Yes. A registered podiatrist looks not only at the foot but at the entire musculoskeletal system. Knee, hip or back complaints can result from an abnormal foot position; correcting it can reduce the complaints.

Will the insoles fit my own shoes?

Our insoles are built from thin cork elements and adapted as much as possible to the shoes you like to wear: from everyday shoes and heels to sports shoes, sandals, work shoes, boots and even clogs. Where necessary we give written advice for your shoe shop.

Do you also treat nail problems or wounds?

No. Ingrown toenails, fungal nails and wound care are outside podology; for these please see a pedicurist or podotherapist. For pressure pain on or between the toes we do make a silicone orthosis.

Can I come to you from Germany?

Yes. Our practices in Denekamp, Oldenzaal and Losser are close to the German border, and we visit Nordhorn, Neuenhaus and Lingen. Contact us for the options.
